Deep Background was created by Pellinor and later maintained by Brynna. Thanks to their hard work, the site became an important source of information for X-Files fanfiction writers everywhere. Unfortunately, it became necessary for Brynna to fold the site during the 8th season of the show. In 2003, Keleka received Brynna's permission to resurrect Deep Background.
